Today Zachary's teacher sent us this e-mail. Followed by a really excited little boy when he came home from school! He's been working really hard and we are excited for him. Congratulations Z-Man!!!!!
"Hi Heidi and Kirk,I just wanted to let you know that Zachary has met his AR goal for this quarter. The quarter actually ends in May and he only needed to be at 40% at this point. He is actually at 145% of the goal! Wow! He has done wonderful. Because he is still having trouble with fluency, I don’t want to raise his level up too much. He was at 0.5-1.5, I’m now raising him to 1.9 which is an end of 1st grade level. I’m hoping this will not be too much of a stretch and will boost his motivation and self- esteem enough to keep him reading. He is reading these tests by himself and passing, so his comprehension is coming right along. I’m very proud of how hard Zachary is working." Kasey
